Properly shaping your bushy, unkempt eyebrows when you don’t know anything about makeup, threading, waxing, or even plucking is super hard.
This is especially true if you’re not the type to go get your eyebrows done professionally because then you really don’t have any guidance on eyebrow maintenance.
All of that is fine, though. And do you know why? Because brow products exist! Yup, there is an abundance of gels, pomades, and waxes to get your bushy brows through their raggedy, unkempt stage with little to no hair removal!
Ready to get started? Check out three of our faves.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel, $22
With one look at the product, I already know what you’re thinking, “that’s mascara, aint it?!” and actually, no! It’s just a small, super effective brush that brushes all eyebrow hairs—short and unruly, or long and straight—into place with one swoop.
Just dip it into the clear, lightweight gel and brush it directly onto your brows in the natural direction of growth. Voila! You now have some cleaned up, natural-looking eyebrows.
PATRICK TA Major Brow Shaping Wax, $22
Wax doesn’t seem like the most appealing option for eyebrow shaping. Off top, you think it’s going to be greasy with an uncomfortable feel, and maybe even look like you got up and pasted hair on your face for fun. However, this wax in particular is firm, but not stiff!
And one thing about Patrick Ta products? They’re going to do what they said they would! So use a little for a more natural finish and bump up the product for a more polished brow.
Glossier Boy Brow Pomade, $17
Inspired by traditional hair pomade, this brow shaping cream from Glossier moves to thicken, shape, and groom your eyebrows into something fresh out of a Sephora-ad. As you can see, it’s a lot different from using gels and waxes, but that’s really the magic of it!
The fact that it’s cream-based makes it a lot more flexible and easy to work with which means you can shape and reshape your eyebrows all you want until you’re satisfied.
