50 Cent is laughing after winning a lawsuit from former drug kingpin Cory “Ghost” Holland Sr.
According to Complex, Ghost accused the Power co-creator of stealing his life story and making it the basis of the hit show.
After he won the lawsuit, 50 didn’t waste time before hopping on social media to drag Ghost.

50 promptly uploaded a screenshot of the story headline announcing he had won the suit.
The media mogul’s caption read:
“Fool thought he was Ghost ???? da fvck wrong wit these ????’s man ???? LOL.”
Judge Analisa ruled in favor of 50 Cent after deciding that Power never directly references Holland.
“Ghost” Holland filed the gargantuan lawsuit in 2021, accusing co-creators 50 and Courtney Kemp, along with Lionsgate and STARZ of stealing his story.
Holland claimed he met Kemp’s dad in the early 90s so they could discuss his life story as he tried to quit the drug trade.
In 2007, Holland allegedly sent a CD with an autobiographical song similar to Power’s plot points.
Holland believes that 50 got the CD and used its story to inspire Power, adding that the show has over 200 scenes based on his life.
“This is not one of those lawsuits from a deranged fan or somebody trying to capitalize off someone else’s success. This is about the actual theft of my life, and the damages that it has done as well as the profits that the defendants have made from the stealing and telling of my life story without my consent.”
50’s lawyer, Joanna Hill, clapped back, saying:
“[Holland] fails to state any claim upon which relief can be granted. More specifically, [Holland] fails to identify any defamatory statements made about him in connection with the fictional television series ‘Power.’”
