A woman shared on social media that she temporarily subleased a room in her home to someone to help her pay for her mortgage.

In the video, she explains that she went on vacation and when it was time for her to come back her housekeeper informed her that the ‘tenant’ was still in the home.

The plan was for the guest to leave 3 days prior to her returning home but instead, sis moved fully into the room she was subleasing with no intention of leaving.

The homeowner said she tried everything to get her new roommate out, including calling the police.

Unfortunately, the contract that was signed between the homeowner and the guest gives the guest full legal right to stay in the home for an extended period of time, making her a tenant.

The homeowner will have to go through a formal eviction process to get the woman out of her house, which could take weeks.

Watch below:

How is this legal you may ask!?

It can be legal, depending on the State you live in.

It is imperative that before you ‘sublease’ or do any sort of temporary leasing that you are aware of all of your rights and the rights of the tenant.

There is nothing this homeowner can do other that go to court and get the eviction done.

Have you experienced anything this crazy?
