Ari Lennox is ready to do whatever it takes to pay the IRS.
During a recent Instagram Live, the 33-year-old R&B songstress shared that she’s been busy trying to square up with Uncle Sam over some IRS debt.
“I’m just gonna tell y’all my business,” Lennox said in her signature no-filter style. “I need to pay this IRS.”
She didn’t miss a beat, adding, “The strange things I’m finna do for change, just so I can break even. I’m gonna go crazy, and then we start anew.”
The Pressure singer then outlined her retirement plans, stating that once she settles her debt with the government agency, she’ll start “paying other things off” and focusing on “saving.”
“That is the muthafuckin goal,” Lennox emphasized, clarifying that her focus is on achieving financial freedom.

And for those hoping this situation might inspire an IRS diss album, it ain’t happening, sis. When questioned about the possibility, Lennox said she wants no smoke with the agency.
“Absolutely not. They have been gentle with me and didn’t take anything of time. So, I will not be starting a beef with them. We do not have no beef, I am paying them back. Okay? I am paying them, and I’m finna be caught up.”
While the specifics of the singer’s financial issues remain a bit murky, Lennox is determined to resolve her situation with the government soon.
Her commitment to turning things around is just one of many personal updates she’s shared with fans lately. In July, the On It singer also made headlines for celebrating celibacy plus seven months of sobriety.
