Justin Riley, also known as BeatKing, passed away last Thursday at 39.
According to Vibe, the Houston-based rapper died from a pulmonary embolism.
The rapper passed out at a local radio station in Houston.
By the time medics got him to hospital, he was already dead.
Tasha Felder, Beatking’s representative, confirmed the news on social media.
“Today, August 15, 2024, we have lost @Clubgodzilla… BeatKing has been the best part of the club for over a decade. He has produced and worked with so many artists, that his sound will forever live. He loved his daughters @clubgodparenting, his music and his fans. We will love him forever.”
Felder added that Riley’s daughters were with him when he passed.
What Is The Condition That Killed BeatKing?

Pulmonary embolism is a condition that occurs when a blood clot lodges in an artery in the lungs.
The clot blocks blood flow, becoming life-threatening.
According to ABC:
“PE often originates from deep vein thrombosis (DVT), where blood clots form in the deep veins of the legs or other parts of the body. When these clots break free, they can travel through the bloodstream to the lungs, causing a blockage.”
BeatKing made hit after hit, including the TikTok anthem, “Then Leave.”
Last month, Riley released his new album, “Never Leave Houston On A Sunday.”
The hit-maker has also made “SDAB” with Juicy J and 2 Chainz, and “Keep It Poppin’” with Queendom Come and Ludacris.
