A few weeks ago we shared a post with podcast footage of Benzino claiming R. Kelly should be given grace because a lot of people mess with 14 and 15 yr old’s.
During the conversation on the “We In Miami” Podcast he said:
“Everybody deserves a second chance. But I know that Elvis, a lot of motherf**kers f**k with 14, 15, n****s f**k with young girls to keep it 100. I’m not into that.”
He goes on to add that “the “legal age is 16 years old”.
“I’m not condoning f**king with little girls, it’s sick. It’s sick, but I don’t think R. Kelly should rot in jail either,” Benzino said.
Coi Leray’s father, Benzino believes R Kelly deserves a second chance

Coi reacted to the video, telling people to leave her out of any conversation concerning her dad in a now deleted tweet.
I want everybody to know I want nothing to do with anything my father has going on. I haven’t spoken to him in over a year and I don’t condone or respect any of them interviews he got going on. I don’t respect his decisions and I really want nothing to do with him please dont even think of me when you see him
Sharing the same DNA and blood DOESN’T make us FAMILY . Loyalty , boundaries , respect , teaching , guidance , love , patience , encouragement MAKES US FAMILY .
With that said, it was clear to us she simply wanted no association with the narrative… which is her right.
Now Benzino is responding, and its weird.
On a new podcast he plays a clip of Coi admitting she was on the streets at 13 and lost her virginity at 14.
In his brain that meant she should have no issue with what he was saying about R. Kelly. He even suggests that her comprehension skills isn’t up to par with his.

Coi Leray’s early years
While we do not know much about Coi’s mother, she is of African decent and she divorced Benzino after he left The Source.
Coi started her music career at 14 and dropped out of high school. At 16 while juggling her music career she worked in sales and had her first hit in 2017 at 20.
In 2020, she launched her debut extended play Now and Never.
Her single, No Parties, was released in January 2021. It was a hit and became her first song to make it to Billboard Hot 100 songs. The song peaked at number 26.
We say all that to say that Coi’s come up may not have been easy, (we all know how the rap game is) so to use any part of her story to justify comments about R. Kelly is beyond crazy.
