Fashion and beauty advertising director and Author Bevy Smith recently added her two cents to the now-viral conversation around Kim Kardashian’s latest advice for women in business.
As we reported Kim said:
“I have the best advice for women in business,” she said in the interview. “Get your f**king ass up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days.”
Some people are questioning why there is even an uproar at all, because Kim is simply stating the obvious.
One user said:
Someone telling you to work harder should not upset yall this much. Its tf true

Another said “Some of yall talking Sh*t, do need to work hard”, to which Bevy responded “but she ain’t the one to tell us. She needs to do that in her own woman’s circle…”
Bevy continued to share just why she thought Kim’s response was problematic. (Her tweets are now protected)

I feel like we’ve seen this story before .. when the hard working class spend & look up to these celebrity business people. Thinking they care about motivating them, sharing key information to their wealth. But their true feelings of disdain & animosity are evident. pic.twitter.com/dHAyu8L1qZ

She has grown up privileged. She already has the right connections laid out before her. I’d rather buy from someone who has made it to the top without the connections and silver spoon.
