I know the BeyHive is doing cartwheels right now because Beyonce just blessed the earth with her visuals for her new athletic line Ivy Park.
The songstress unveiled her brand visuals with some very personal details about what the ‘Park’ means to her from the time she was growing up until now.
In the video, she describes the park is her source of strength and discipline while showing off some of the clothing that will be available from the line
According to USA Today the collection will consist of:
Modified sportswear — including crop tops, drop arm tees, sweatshirts, technical jackets and leggings — and is a joint venture with Sir Philip Green of the Arcadia Group, the UK-based company behind Topshop, Topman, and Wallis, among other brands.
Fans can get in formation at Topshop, Nordstrom and Net-a-Porter on April 14 to purchase the activewear and “athleisure” brand. The video has a small cameo from little Blue as well as a pretty dope interactive website.
Bey is the queen of surprises and I suppose you can just drop a clothing line on the world and get the buzz you without any sort of marketing tease.
Not to mention the Beyhive is so wrapped up in it, nobody better dare say anything negative or prepare to get stung. For example, when a twitter user innocently asked if the line was like Lululemon and the company responded saying.
“They do say imitation is the best form of flattery. Maybe Beyoncé is so Crazy In Love with our brand, she made her own.”
Let’s just say that company felt the wrath of Bey-Twitter after that and I can no longer see their tweets. Get into this imagery tho:
I cannot wait to see it in stores just to see how they compare to other Athletic brands, I have no doubt Queen B will not disappoint in terms of quality. Would buy Ivy Park? Comment below and let me know!
