According to PEOPLE Bhad Bhabie has been sued by American Express.
According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE and filed on Wednesday, July 2 in Los Angeles County Superior Court, the rapper (whose real name is Danielle Bregoli) has been sued by American Express for $674,452.40.
The credit card company claims that she breached a credit agreement by failing to make payments.
“Plaintiff extended credit to Defendant for purchases and/or cash advances by Defendants and/or persons acting with Defendants’ permission on the American Express account XXXX‑XXXX‑X5000 (the “Account”),” the filing reads. “Defendant promised to repay Plaintiff for all charges, fees, and interest on the Account by paying the balance in full every month or by making monthly payments.”
Per court documents, American Express says they made an agreement to extend credit to Bregoli, 22, on April, 21 2021, however, she stopped making payments around Dec. 19, 2024.
Now, the bank alleges she owes the full balance and is seeking damages for breach of contract.
Reps for Bregoli and American Express have not yet responded to PEOPLE’s requests for comment.
News of the lawsuit comes days after Bregoli opened up to Interview Magazine about how
OnlyFans was “a good way to make a lot of money really fast.”
In July 2024, the “Gucci Flip Flops” musician shared a screenshot of her total earnings on the platform, which she first joined in April 2021, per Complex.
According to the outlet, the screenshot claimed Bregoli grossed upwards of $71 million, while her net earnings landed at $57 million.
More than $32 million of the $57 million came from only direct messages and she appeared to earn half a million in tips and $24 million in subscriptions, per Complex.
