Brandy Norwood is finally getting her well-deserved flowers!
More than a year after it was announced that the legendary R&B singer and renowned actress would be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has officially set the date – Brandy’s 46th birthday, February 11, 2025.
The organization previously revealed that the Vocal Bible star would be honored alongside Angie Martinez, the late Chadwick Boseman, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Toni Braxton, and more as part of the 2024 class of inductees.
As you can imagine, Brandy’s mom, Sonja Norwood, couldn’t contain her pride, sharing on Instagram:
“My daughter, Brandy, will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2024. So proud of her as a person, her work ethic, and her drive to turn a dream into reality. And just to think, I’ve been a part of her career from day 1! Till the day shall dawn. Love you, Bran.”

The exciting news comes on the heels of Brandy’s memoir announcement, which is slated for release in October 2025.
While the book remains untitled, People reports that it will chronicle Brandy’s journey from her early days growing up in Mississippi to her meteoric rise after releasing her platinum debut album Brandy at just 15.
Brandy would go on to star in the hit sitcom series Moesha and later make history as the first Black actress to play a Disney princess in 1997’s Cinderella.
The memoir will also explore the “unimaginable lows” she faced on her path to self-discovery, touching on themes of body image, bullying, love, and heartbreak.
“Writing my memoir was one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences of my life, she told People. “For the first time, I am sharing my story—honest, unfiltered, and not through the lens of media or critics.”
“This memoir is more than a book. It’s a reflection of resilience, hope, and rediscovering myself beyond the fame, the music, and the spotlight,” the singer continued. “I hope my words bring inspiration as you navigate your own journey.”
