Is this a plot twist, or what?
Candace Owens, once Lizzo’s loudest critic, is now her number-one cheerleader – even offering to pitch in as her workout bestie.
On the latest episode of Candace, the controversial commentator applauded the “Rumors” singer for putting in the work at the gym, sticking to her goal, and committing to getting fit the right way.
“Me and Lizzo went at it, and people were basically trying to say that I was fatphobic…because I believe Lizzo is incredibly talented. And she’s a big girl, okay? That wasn’t the problem…they tried to make fat her brand, and I found that to be very problematic,” she said.
“Congratulations to Lizzo. Please unblock me!” Owens continues. “I feel like now you can’t block me pretend that there’s hate between us. It’s all love. Like we can work out together! Me and Lizzo working out together that would be amazing.”

As mentioned, Candace Owens has in the past been vocal about her critical stance towards the “About Damn Time” artist’s public persona.
In an appearance at the Joe Budden podcast, the conservative podcaster accused Lizzo of playing the pity card, saying:
“I don’t like the game that people play where they do something that is so obviously outrageous, like, you know. Lizzo in a thong shaking your a** cheeks.”
Owens further condemned the singer’s behavior, labeling it “disgusting” and “perverted,” and expressed concerns about the suitability of such performances, especially in public areas frequented by families.
“You know what that was. This is a. Disgusting, b. Perverted, and people take their kids to the games. Is there no space that’s safe? [And] then she’s like, ‘if you don’t like it, that’s your problem,’” she continued.
“Like no, you are being problematic. And now you’re playing the game where you do something outrageous, and then, when we are outraged, you pretend that we’re the crazy ones. I’m not dealing with that. Stop gaslighting me, okay?”

In response to Owens’ criticism, Lizzo expressed her emotional vulnerability, stating that such comments deeply hurt her and affected her well-being.
The award-winning artist also emphasized the importance of kindness and requested that people refrain from negative remarks unless they had something positive or constructive to say.
“I literally just be minding my business, please keep my name out ya mouf unless it’s something positive or real… pls n thank u,” she added.
Well, it seems that all the backlash and criticism really had an impact on Lizzo. But rather than dwelling on it, the talented flutist is now focusing on pursuing more positive endeavors and prioritizing her health for herself and her fans.
Go Lizzo!
