So….. it is beyond all of our understanding how Candace Owens could have found a way to insert a three-time Grammy Award-winning, Primetime Emmy Award, two Soul Train Music Awards, Billboard Music Award, BET Award, and a Guinness World Record ICON like Lizzo into a conversation about her love for wearing white lives matter shirts.
According to the NY Post Candace Owens clapped back at critics who ripped her and Kanye “Ye” West for wearing “White Lives Matter” shirts – and even brought music star Lizzo into her lecture.
Owens, during part of her Daily Wire podcast, defended her and West’s outfit choice during Paris fashion week as she argued black Americans should care more about abortion, “black-on-black” crime, education standards and obesity, which is when she tied Lizzo into her rant.
“You know what we should’ve done, we should’ve put a ‘White Lives Matter’ t-shirt on Lizzo,” Owens said. “Maybe we could have gotten a lot of attention about obesity and how it’s actually killing black Americans.”
Obesity is one of the leading causes of death in the US, according to the CDC.
Owens’ rant on the “White Lives Matter” controversy started right at the top of her show after a photo of her and West in the shirts was posted across social media.
“There is a deep irony and a sad irony when you consider that wearing a t-shirt has led such a tremor throughout the world,” Owens said. “A t-shirt that says ‘White Lives Matters,’ which should be implied, right.
“White lives matter, black lives matter, Asian lives matter — it should be implied, yet people are angry and they are being vicious online because they can’t believe that we have the audacity to detract from the movement which is a lie: “Black Lives Matter.”
West, who now goes by Ye, faced immense criticism on social media over the “White Lives Matter” statement.
Jaden Smith, son of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith tweeted, “I Had To Dip Lol” after he walked out of West’s fashion show in protest and then later stated in a series of tweets, “True Leaders Lead. I Don’t Care Who’s It Is If I Don’t Feel The Message I’m Out. Black Lives Matter. We Demand A More Progressive Future.”
Temple University Professor Marc Lamont Hill called West’s t-shirt choice “disgusting.”
“Kanye West’s decision to wear a ‘White Lives Matter’ shirt is disgusting, dangerous and irresponsible,” Lamont Hill fumed on Twitter. “Some of y’all will rush to defend him. You should ask yourselves why.”
West also defended the shirt while ripping the “Black Lives Matter” movement as a scam in an Instagram story Tuesday.
Candace Owens wearing a ‘White Lives Matter’ tshirt is a periodic reminder that she’s a sycophantic, self loathing, uneducated, pathological lying, boot licking, buck dancing, step n fetchin, white supremacy apologist with a struggling perm.
