Cardi B is expanding her legacy.
After working with the likes of Fashion Nova, Marc Jacobs, NYX Professional Makeup, Reebok, Skims, and more, the Grammy-winning recording artist and actress took to Instagram Tuesday (April 1) to announce her new joint venture with Revolve Group.
According to WWD, the partnership includes the launch of Cardi B’s debut apparel and beauty brand and also marks Revolve’s expansion into the beauty realm.
The first drop is set for later in 2025.
“People have been expecting both from me. My beauty line, people have been expecting that, like an album,” the “Bartier Cardi” artist told the outlet in an exclusive interview.
“When something is so expected, people want it to be the best, or, they want it to be the worst so they can be like, ‘Haha you don’t know about s–t b—h!’ People expect the best from both fields. We have to come in strong.”
Cardi B’s creative partners include her longtime manager, creative director and Cream Labs Founder Patientce Foster, and her longtime stylist Kollin Carter, whom she said do “things out spite” because “to be better than everybody when you do it out of spite is very motivating.”
“It’s literally reflecting and translating what we built in terms of Cardi B the brand, the artist, and taking that same synergy and putting that into this,” Foster added.
“I think some people think that you have to remove your most authentic self to raise your profile, but I think what we’ve been able to do so great is embrace her most authentic self and evolve that without changing who she is at her core. That’s what we’re trying to build in both categories.”
Cardi B credited Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, and Rihanna for serving as inspiration to cement her legacy and leave her kids “more than property and a music catalog.”
“I’ve been very successful in my career and forever grateful for my success,” she said. “But in my mind, I know that when I leave this earth, I would like to leave my kids more than property and a music catalog. I want to leave them with something they can carry for generations to come, something that their mother built from the ground up.”
Cardi and Revolve haven’t disclosed the exact launch date for the fashion and beauty lines, though WWD reported the first drop is set for late 2025.
However, the “Bodak Yellow” star gave a sneak peek, wearing a dress from the collection when announcing the collaboration.
