Carl Crawford, the 1501 Certified Entertainment boss, has admitted he messed up dealing with singer Megan Thee Stallion.
TMZ Hip Hop revealed they interviewed Crawford and his new president, Kai Tyler, after their label moved on without Megan Thee Stallion.
Carl Crawford Wronged Megan Thee Stallion

Before running 1501 Certified Entertainment, Carl Crawford played in Major League Baseball.
Crawford attributes his MLB days to his competitive nature but admits that his know-how of the music industry is not the most versatile.
However, Crawford’s music industry inexperience is why he hired Kai “Verse” Tyler.
Verse has worked in the music industry for years, gaining valuable experience handling artists’ publicity campaigns and publishing.

When TMZ Hip Hop spoke with the pair about their plans now that Megan Thee Stallion is no longer part of 1501 Certified Entertainment, they revealed their plans for Erica Banks.
Banks is the hottest new artist, and Crawford and Tyler have ambitious plans for Banks’ career.
TMZ also interviewed Crawford about his past feuds, especially his former beef with Roc Nation and legendary rapper Jay-Z.
Crawford specifically addressed the blame he lay on Roc Nation for planting seeds in Megan Thee Stallion’s head that led to her relationship with 1501 Certified Entertainment fracturing.
Crawford also spoke about his company’s association with singer Tory Lanez and how the two teamed up to annoy Megan.
According to Carl Crawford, he stirred things up in a club in 2022 with Tory Lanez to make fans think their beef was genuine.

However, Crawford revealed that the beef was fake: he and Lanez were trolling as payback at Megan Thee Stallion.
“Unfortunately, me and Megan haven’t talked since 2019,” Crawford said. “We been going through what y’all seen online. That’s unfortunate too because I never wanted to go have a situation where I was going back nad forth with her on the Internet.”
He added, “I never had problems with Megan Thee Stallion, but this social media stuff turned it really sour. You take this social media stuff out of it, and we won’t have a problem. You won’t hear me mention Megan Thee Stallion’s name unless it’s a big-time interview.”
“I normally don’t do stuff like that. I think I just got wrapped up in the whole scheme of things that was going on. We all make mistakes. I’m not on nobody’s side with that. I was just… I don’t even know,” he said.
Eventually, Crawford regrets this stunt and hopes that bygones can be bygones.
Meanwhile, Verse’s primary focus is taking the label’s reach to greater heights.
