Cassie feels sickened by the Diddy baby oil jokes and memes circulating on social media.
In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, an insider revealed that the R&B singer, 38, is “disgusted” by the distasteful jokes and memes surfacing in the wake of Diddy’s arrest.
“She is hurt that people are making jokes and memes out of the baby oil because of what it could have been used for,” the insider told the news outlet. “It isn’t funny to her or anyone who experienced similar.”
Cassie, who dated the Bad Boy Records founder from 2007 to 2018, filed a lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs last November, accusing him of subjecting her to physical and sexual mistreatment during their long-term relationship.
Following the lawsuit, things took a dark turn, with Diddy being indicted on charges of racketeering, conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has vehemently denied all charges against him.
Then, on Tuesday (October 1st), Texas lawyer Tony Buzbee announced he is representing 120 new victims who he believes have legitimate cases against the media mogul spanning a 25-year period.
Of the 120 new victims, 25 were underage when the alleged abuse happened between 1991 and as recently as this year, Buzbee revealed. The youngest victims were reportedly 9, 14, and 15 when they were victimized, the high-profile lawyer announced.
Cassie reportedly broke down after the announcement and is planning to take a step back from receiving updates about the case.
“Cassie had heard murmurs about the class action suit but broke down in tears when she was informed of the allegations involving the child,” the source told the Daily Mail.
“She is planning to take time away from receiving updates because it has sickened her, and she hopes that anyone who was hurt receives justice and peace of body and mind.”
While the actress-singer has not personally commented on the latest developments, insiders previously informed the news outlet:
“Cassie hasn’t released a statement about Diddy’s arrest because she is taking time away to focus on her peace, as the details of the case are triggering.”
“She is relieved that the case has escalated but isn’t celebrating. She is upset that people didn’t listen to other alleged victims in the 90s because she would have been spared.”
The insider also noted that the mom of two and her husband Alex Fine’s priority now is to “protect their kids’ peace.”
