Chrisean Rock will spend 30 days behind bars for assaulting James Wright at Tamar Braxton’s Show last Fall.
According to Complex, the rapper was arrested after showing up for Blueface’s hearing at a San Fernando Valley courthouse earlier this month.
At the time, five cops were waiting for Rock to arrive, and they promptly arrested her once she did.
There was a warrant out on Rock as a felony fugitive and on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.
According to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, Rock’s original date of arrest was June 10, and she was sentenced to 30 days in jail on June 14 and one year of probation.
She is currently being held in Lynwood.
According to The Daily Mail the incident between the Baltimore native and Wright unfolded last November 10 when Braxton played a show at the downtown Los Angeles club Novo, according to a suit filed by Wright in February, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Wright said in legal docs reviewed by the newspaper that Chrisean, whose full name is Chrisean Eugenia Malone, became violent backstage over a misunderstanding in regards to her participation in Braxton’s show.
Wright told the court that Chrisean was under the impression she would be rapping, while he thought she was going to be doing a dance routine.
Wright told the court that Chrisean, who was wearing multiple rings, hit him in the face, breaking a pair of teeth.
His lawyer Kevin Anderson told the newspaper that Chrisean ‘hit him multiple times in the face for no reason at all. We were surprised that she was able to leave the facility that night. She had on rings that were pretty much equivalent to brass knuckles.’
Braxton was present during the incident, according to the lawyer.
The suit from Wright alleged that as people were ejecting Chrisean from the room, she used a homophobic slur in reference to the backup dancer, and vowed to strike him another time.
Wright said in legal docs that he had to seek medical treatment in the wake of the attack, which left him with facial cuts and a pair of broken teeth.
Chrisean said on Twitter in February,
‘Dis big back bitch n**** think he finna get a cent out of me b**** you know you just wasted yo money on dat damn lawyer right.
‘Yeah I took break from the socials because I’m putting my energy into my next projects fr and all dat negativity s*** be not even my Bob right now. My next move gon be my best move.’
Chrisean – who has had a number of violent incidents with her ex-boyfriend Blueface – was ordered by authorities to remain at least 100 yards from both Wright and the location where the alleged violence occurred, the Lucky Strike Bowling Alley.
Chrisean Rock Is Still A Fugitive In Oklahoma
The Oklahoma Department of Corrections still has Chrisean Rock as a fugitive, with offenses like possession of a controlled, dangerous substance.
“That wasn’t the time. She had her kid and she was there supporting my son so I don’t agree with it.”
Chrisean acknowledged on social media her legal issues in an Instagram Live session this past March, where she said that she didn’t want to turn herself in as she was busy caring for her baby son.
