It’s official: Ciara will be part of American Idol before its 22nd season concludes.
According to Billboard, the lineup for the Sunday, May 5 episode includes these mentors:
- Ciara
- Katy Perry
- Lionel Richie
- Luke Bryan
The remaining singers will perform Adele hits along with the “Songs That Make Me Wanna Dance” theme.
Even Meghan Trainor is scheduled to perform before voting opens for the top 5.
American Idol With Ciara Will Be Epic
While the May 5 episode promises to be epic with the singer in it, its future episodes also look promising.
Mark your calendars for the May 12 episode, which will follow a Disney Night theme.
The surviving five Idol hopefuls will perform beloved Disney songs at Walt Disney World.
Then, the final three will perform on the May 19 finale.
Last Monday’s episode had a moving tribute to the late Idol finalist Mandisa.
At the same time, country singer Will Moseley booked his place in the next round with a strong performance of Johnny Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues.”
Other stunning performances from the episode included:
