Benzino has made his stance on R Kelly clear, he thinks the disgraced artist should be given a “second chance” and he should not be left to ‘rot in jail’.
During a conversation on the “We In Miami” Podcast he said:
“Everybody deserves a second chance. But I know that Elvis, a lot of motherf**kers f**k with 14, 15, n****s f**k with young girls to keep it 100. I’m not into that.”
He goes on to add that “the “legal age is 16 years old”.
“I’m not condoning f**king with little girls, it’s sick. It’s sick, but I don’t think R. Kelly should rot in jail either,” Benzino said.

Coi Leray caught wind of her fathers remarks and decided to make things very clear about her relationship with him.
On Twitter she said:
I want everybody to know I want nothing to do with anything my father has going on. I haven’t spoken to him in over a year and I don’t condone or respect any of them interviews he got going on. I don’t respect his decisions and I really want nothing to do with him please dont even think of me when you see him
Sharing the same DNA and blood DOESN’T make us FAMILY . Loyalty , boundaries , respect , teaching , guidance , love , patience , encouragement MAKES US FAMILY .

Coi’s declaration of independence from her dad comes after a few blogs and social users added her name to the news about what he said about R. Kelly.
For example this one:

Last year Coi told Angie Martinez that she thinks her father is envious of her because how he handled her success was very ‘rocky’ in the beginning.
“I felt like it did come from an envious place, which is okay, ‘cause he’s human, and it’s fine. He’s one of those people that feels like, ‘Yo, I still have a story to tell,” the 26-year-old shared.
Benzino responded calling her statement ridiculous.
“the most ridiculous ???? [I’ve] heard in my entire life on this earth.”
How tf can be envious towards someone I RAISED, NUTURED, PROVIDED FOR, INFLUENCED AND LOVE VERY DEARLY???
He went on to say:
In my 40 years in hip hop I’ve never ever seen an artist DOG their parents out the was [sic] Coi does and it’s embarrassing and sad…and one last thing, @angiemartinez knows she doesn’t like me so she’s just being manipulative and messy. They want me crash out but I’ve worked on myself so hard that I ain’t going backwards for ANYTHING, but what I won’t do is allow ANYONE to slander my name and push a false narrative on my reputation and who I am. I’ve shed too many blood, sweat and tears, survived street wars and indictments. Nope no more.”
