To be clear this isn’t the first time Tonesa Welch has called out Starz for BMF.
Season two of the show hit our screens in January, produced by Randy Huggins and 50 Cent it details the life of brothers “Big Meech” and Terry ‘Southwest T” Flenory who ran BMF (Black Mafia Family).
LaLa’s character is Markaisha Taylor and Terry’s love interest is often linked to real-life Mafia First Lady Tonesa Welch.
Welch has been pretty vocal about BMF because they have explicitly told her that the story was not based on her life, but Tonesa isn’t buying it.

Why use the most hurtful part of my life. Why #Markishataylor this supposedly character who’s not suppose to be me be a victim of abuse? Y’all didn’t use my name but my real life is played out every Friday.
I’m not ashamed of what I been through. I’m just shocked! If #markisha is not me, y’all couldn’t of thought of no other story line to use?
This is pre-Terrys life and BMF. . I’m and Ex- Producer of a show I know how goes. You could of demanded anything similar to me not be use but clearly you needed me for this true story. If you hated me that bad!!! And didn’t want me to get a check or credit! I wish before I got sentence to prison y’all could of said your honor!! This women was “Not BMF” let her go home. Don’t wait until I get 5rs. Real talk.

Because I knew what I was going to do!! I always come back this was a minor setback for the comeback. Don’t exploit victims to get ratings or to get the sympathy of the viewers.
Let me share it or people who gossip and don’t know me personally not y’all. I’m love by a lot of people and for the last 3 weeks this has been a hot topic of my life. Yes I been talking and sharing with 50cent since 2016 and this is not his fault we clearly came to an understanding. When it comes to victims talk to them let them share how they felt their emotions ask how would it affect them and their offsprings. I’m alive and living.

In another post Tonesa called out a part of the story that, according to her makes Markaisha seem like a pediphile, making it clear that she did not kiss her man until he was 25.

On the low, after watching hella documentaries on BMF, I already knew exactly who @lala is supposed to be portraying. She favors Tonesa Welch (Terry’s ex). That’s why they casted her.

Her character is based off “Tonesa Welch” lol in real life she was older than terry she was getting abused and she was married and she was like BMF First Lady pretty much but idk I think Lala character may need to develop stronger over time lol
