Doja Cat’s recent beef with her fans has come with a hefty cost.
According to Billboard, the singer-rapper lost 237,758 followers on Instagram after her posts on Threads slamming her fans.
Doja Cat Had A Spat With Her Fans
Earlier this week, Doja took her fans to task, refusing to express her love for them.
She rejected their self-appointed nickname ‘Kittenz.’
She called out a fan account for using her real name, Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, as its handle.
“My life, my rules, my style, my attitude,” Doja penned on Threads.
“My fans don’t name themselves shit,” she added in a now-deleted message on the new platform.
“If you call yourself a ‘kitten’ or fucking ‘kittenz’ that means you need to get off your phone and get a job and help your parents with the house.”
Her fiery outburst led to several Doja Cat fan accounts going dark on Twitter.
Over the past month, she’s lost nearly 300,000 followers.
However, she still boasts a whopping 25.7 million followers on Instagram at the time of writing.
Fellow chart-topper Charli XCX chimed in on Twitter, commenting that she was being so grumpy on Monday.
