Doja Cat has had enough of her fans’ shenanigans, and she’s throwing some serious shade their way.
According to Page Six, Doja took to Twitter over the weekend to express her ‘displeasure’ with her fans.
According to now-deleted tweets, they’ve been calling themselves ‘Kittenz’–a nickname she disapproved of.
“My fans don’t get to name themselves s—t. If you call yourself a ‘Kitten’ or f—king ‘Kittenz’ that means you need to get off your phone and get a job and help your parents with the house.”
One brave soul questioned Doja’s fiery remarks, pointing out that ‘Kittenz’ was a name she had given her fans.
Doja’s response?
She came up with the name when she was “an alcoholic teen.”
But the drama didn’t end there.
Saying Doja Cat Was Upset Would Be An Understatement
Doja, real name Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, also swung at a fan using her “government name” as their social media handle.
“you making my government name your sn [screenname] is creepy as f—k.”
Doja even suggested that fans should “delete” accounts referencing her in any way.
When one fan asked what they should change their name to, Doja responded simply.
“Just delete the entire account and rethink everything it’s never too late.”
Doja’s no-nonsense approach has left some fans questioning their loyalty.
Some have even turned their backs on her altogether.
One fan tweeted:
“Doja Cat slandering her fans is crazy tbh cos [sic] I don’t understand why you would attack your fans for just giving themselves a name just like every other fanbase out there. I know what signs like these mean.”
Another fan tweeted:
“Doja being mean to her fans for bc [sic] of the word kitten like her name isn’t doja CAT and she wasn’t dressed as a cat and meowed her way through an entire interview a few months ago oh she has lost her mind.
What sparked this outburst from Doja and why she deleted the tweets is unclear.
But one thing’s for sure, it’ll be interesting to see how this will impact her upcoming nationwide tour, set to kick off this October.
And her top fans are already deactivating their accounts.
