An East Carolina University student has gone viral on TikTok after sharing an open letter to the school, detailing why she is allegedly facing expulsion.
Faith Pellini, known as @faithboi on TikTok, posted a video on Monday (March 24), stating that ECU is attempting to expel her for physically confronting a male student accused of sexually assaulting multiple Black women.
“Hey, my name is Faith Pellini, and I’m currently facing expulsion from East Carolina University for spitting on and beating a rapist up at an off-campus party,” she began.
“This is the letter I’m going to present to the school… so here we go.”
In her letter, Pellini accused the campus of repeatedly excusing rapists and named several Black women who were allegedly assaulted by the male student.
“I sit here before you, expected to justify my actions to an institution known for excusing rapists. And all I have to offer you is this letter,” she wrote.
“My voice will not be silenced by this school, even in the face of expulsion. My voice is my power, and I will be the voice for the beautiful, brave women that [the alleged rapist] has tried to silence through his actions.”
She then recounted the moment she confronted him.
“On January 22, 2025, I used this powerful beautiful voice of mine to confront [the alleged rapist] about what he did. During this confrontation, my words were not enough. He laughed. He didn’t deny the allegations instead he said, ‘You seem to know enough, you couldn’t rape even if you wanted to.”
“If that isn’t an admission of guilt, I don’t know what is.”
Pellini then cited Malcolm X, stating, “If someone puts their hands on you, make sure they never put their hands on anyone else again,” before adding that violence has historically led to societal change when peaceful protest isn’t enough.
“I exercised my right to free speech by confronting [the alleged rapist] in the dining hall. He exercised his back,” she read.
“The women he raped and molested have exercised this right too. They’ve gone to the school multiple times seeking justice and nothing was done.”
Quoting activist Flo Kennedy, Pellini reiterated that “all oppressed people have the right to violence” before declaring that, in that moment, she had no choice but to fight back.
“It was my right to put my hands on [the alleged rapist]. It was the appropriate time and situation. So, I pissed on him,” she said.
“I understand that here at East Carolina University, in the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities, your job is to protect the rights of students—including [the alleged rapist]. But by using my fist, I protected the rights of [the alleged victims].”
Pellini did not name any of the alleged victims but repeatedly called out the offender.
Out of respect for all parties involved, and given that no formal charges have been filed, EmilyCottontop will also withhold the names of those involved.
“As I sit here, I ask you: does [the alleged rapist’s] rights outweigh those of these women?” Pellini continued.
“All of these beautiful Black women have had their voices silenced by this predominantly white institution.”
She then challenged East Carolina University to take a stand that won’t be forgotten.
“The day I spat on [the alleged rapist] and assaulted him, I made a point he will never forget. He will never forget the day a 5’7” white girl took his masculinity from him—just like all his victims will never forget their assaults.”

As of now, East Carolina University has not publicly addressed the allegations.
However, ECU Deputy Chief of Police Chris Sutton confirmed that the matter is currently under review.
