Powerhouse couple Pinky Cole and Her Husband Derrick Hayes recently went viral after they showed off their epic transformations.
Pinky Cole is the owner of the infamous food chain Slutty Vegan and Derrick is the CEO of Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks.
According to celebrity stylist and friend of the blog Tahirah Carter the big chop was decided last minute.
On her post she wrote:
This look was extremely special because we decided on this big chop at the very last minute. I was supposed to color her locs purple for @essencefest and somehow through talking, I ended up using @khalid_dabarber barber shears and liners to execute this cut. Since her husband did his big chop, last week..why not match his fly?! I customized the color based on a photo she showed me because I DO THIS????????☺️

I always make a joke that I can do hair in a forest if I need to! I’m very passionate about my artistry and it shows. The world knows my name and I’m grateful for that???????????? Thank you everyone who puts trust in me everyday????????

While locs remain a very popular style in our community, Pinky joins a plethora of women who have recently decided to randomly chop off their locs.
Everyone’s reason is different but we do find the trend interesting.

Earlier in the year Pepsi tapped Pinky Cole as an ambassador to help recognize the country’s best Black-owned restaurants – and unlock even more rewards for diners and restaurants alike.
They partnered with the entrepreneur to highlight the power of fan support as well as leverage her experience and insights to inspire the next Black-owned restaurant success story.
“Slutty Vegan wouldn’t be where it is today without its community of fans. From the start they’ve been dedicated and loyal in supporting Slutty Vegan’s journey from a food truck to a multi-city restaurant chain and $100 million brand. That’s why I’m thrilled to be partnering with Pepsi Dig In, a platform that has been there for me since the beginning, to inspire even more foodies to be vocal about their favorite restaurants and help crown them Restaurant Royalty,” shared Pinky Cole Hayes.
