A father shared on Twitter that he disagrees with a school’s decision to not let his daughter walk at graduation due to her hair color.
The school sent an email home saying that they find her hair to be a ‘distraction’ suggesting that she should dye it to a neutral color before graduation.
See below from dad:
So my Daughter’s school sent email stating that her hair is a distraction & if she doesn’t dye it a neutral color before graduation on 5/19, they won’t let her walk..keep in mind her hair has been dyed for months but all of a sudden she’s a distraction…How is this distracting? pic.twitter.com/vQm6bkJnyR

People on social media suggested that dad put the young lady in a wig and then remove it after she graduates, others find the school policy to be unfair.
Better idea. Get her a wig. Tuck the blue hair. Right as they’re handing her the diploma rip off the wig revealing the colored hair. Tell em to get fucked and stroll off the stage.

Louisiana and it hasn’t been a issue for months and she’s definitely not the only one with dyed hair

What do you all think, should dad make ‘a stink’ about it or should they try the wig option!
