Fenty Got Bars! – Rihanna Raps On Kendrick Lamar’s Track “Loyalty”

Kendrick dropped his highly anticipated album “Damn” and I have listened to it twice already with no complaints. Honestly, the album is pretty good and his collaboration with Rihanna in the song “LOYALTY” was pretty cool.

Rihanna isn’t really known for her rapping skills even though she has done her a few times in the past on her own projects. In her latest rapping debut, she goes toe to toe with Kendrick calling herself a ‘natural’. The song was produced by Terrace Martin, Sounwave and Dj Dahi.

“It’s a secret society, all we ask is trust,” they sing together, in a nod to Jay Z’s “Get Your Mind Right Mami” from 2000’s The Dynasty: Roc La Familia. “All we got is us / Loyalty.”

Then, Lamar and Fenty go back and forth with bars, trading boastful rhymes and flows. “Been a bad bitch way before any cash came,” raps Rihanna. “I’m established / Hundred carats on my name / Run the atlas, I’m a natural.”

Then Kendrick joins the party with- “I’m a savage,” he admits. “I’m an a**hole, I’m a king.” Later, he adds: “Tell your ni**a he can meet me outside / You can babysit him when I leave him outside.”

“LOYALTY.” — which also pulls inspiration from Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s classic 1995 single “Shimmy Shimmy Ya” — This is Kendrick’s first collaboration with Rihanna, apart from a few mentions.

Listen to the song below and share your thoughts:

Love his album!
