New surveillance footage obtained on Tuesday (November 11) suggests that PnB Rock may have been set up by someone inside Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘N Waffles in Los Angeles two years ago.
Rock, best known for his hit song “Selfish,” was tragically shot during a robbery targeting his jewelry while dining with his girlfriend, Stephanie Sibounheuang.
At the time, online accusations pointed to Stephanie, claiming her social media post tagging their location might have contributed to the rapper’s death.
The Los Angeles Police Department also commented, with Chief Moore confirming that Rock was likely targeted due to social media posts. According to Moore, investigators believed the suspect(s) saw the posts detailing the rapper and his girlfriend’s location and tracked them down.
Now, however, new reports from CBS Philadelphia suggest that Rock’s murder may have occurred after an insider at Roscoe’s made direct contact with him.
“There’s someone that spots him and does a fist bump,” revealed Ana Garcia, an analyst from True Crime News, referencing the footage. “We see this on video. That person then contacted someone else — a father and son team.”
Garcia then explained that Rock’s food was delayed by 40 minutes, reportedly due to an “exceptionally busy day” at the restaurant. She then clarified that contrary to earlier reports blaming Stephanie for sharing a location-tagged photo, Rock’s death was not her fault.
“She didn’t get to post that photo until much later,” Garcia said. “It was those two (in the restaurant) that were responsible for the earth of PnB. The setup was just to steal his jewelry.
“The girlfriend blamed herself that it was her fault, and it wasn’t her fault,” she continued. “Social media and other celebrities jumped all over to blame her.”

In September, Freddie Lee Trone, 42, was sentenced to 31 years to life in prison for the murder of PnB Rock. Trone was found guilty of murder, conspiracy to commit robbery, and two counts of second-degree robbery.
Prosecutors at the time said that Trone instructed his then 17-year-old son to shoot and kill the rapper in 2022 while he was dining at Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘N Waffles.
Trone’s son remains in custody and is currently undergoing treatment after being found not competent to stand trial. His condition will be reassessed following this treatment period.
