While on vacation in the “City of Love,” 3x NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas popped the question to his longtime girlfriend Melli Monaco.
Arenas shared the exciting news on his Instagram on July 29 when he posted a romantic photo of him and his newly engaged fiancée rocking a massive diamond ring.

Well, Monaco decided she wanted to reciprocate and while the two were hanging out at a nightclub with friends on Monday, a group of bottle girls showed up with a sign that read, “Men Wear Engagement Rings Too.”
Arenas was completely perplexed, that’s until he saw his boo Monaco holding an engagement ring. The former NBA star gladly accepted and was so giddy as Monaco put the ring on his finger.
“[Monaco] surprised me with an engagement ring,” Arenas said in an IG post. “Got me feeling like a #Baddie. City Boys they’re giving us engagement rings now.”

The 3x NBA All-Star and the author started dating last year after Arenas shot his shot during her livestream.
This isn’t the first time Arenas has been in the spotlight for a story involving an engagement ring. He once admitted to replacing his ex-fiancée’s $400,000 diamond ring with a $10,000 fake after an argument and temporarily broke up.
