Iman Shumpert is reportedly seeking an adjustment in his child support order amid his and Teyana Taylor’s divorce.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the former NBA star claims there is a significant pay gap between him and Taylor, arguing that he should not have to pay as much child support as he currently does because Teyana makes “nearly double” his monthly income.
In the documents, Iman claims he earns approximately $47,981 per month before taxes, while the A Thousand And One actress brings in $98,885 monthly.
He expressed his willingness to continue paying $8,000 in child support but requests that the cost of other health services for their children be split between him and Taylor.
These claims contradict Teyana’s earlier statements during the divorce filing.
The Issues/Hold On singer stated that Iman was jealous of her fame and had asked her not to work, only to later complain that she was not bringing in enough money for their family.
She also asserted that Shumpert was financially secure due to his NBA career earnings, while she felt unsupported in her music career.
Iman earned a substantial amount of money during his NBA days, with a total of $48 million in contracts with various teams.
However, he has not played professionally since the 2021 season when he was with the Brooklyn Nets.

According to reports, the ex-couple has been having financial disputes.
In January, Teyana accused Iman of leaving her “holding the bag on $200k worth of home renovations” he started years ago and alleged that he had withdrawn nearly $4 million from their shared accounts.
Additionally, the Lowkey artist reportedly accused Iman of not paying “a cent of child support.
More recently, Teyana denied claims that Iman had cut utilities in their Georgia home amid divorce proceedings.
“Yo@tmz are you serious????” she wrote, directly calling out the reports.
She continued: “Y’all really be taking it too far with these d*mn misleading headlines and I’m tired of it! Every time I turn around it’s either half leaked and made-up stories, or words being twisted up for clickbait!!!!”
“I kindly asked you mothaf%ckas to mind ya damn business, and for y’all to respect me and my family’s privacy.”
