Jay Z’s Team ROC is going into true crime.
On Monday (December 2), the social justice initiative announced the launch of its new podcast, Corruption Uncovered, which aims to expose systemic failures and injustices within the U.S. justice system.
Hosted by journalist Josie Duffy Rice, the podcast’s first season will investigate allegations of misconduct within the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department, with a particular focus on the federal case against former detective Roger Golubski.
Golubski faces federal charges accusing him of abusing his position to extort and sexually assault Black women and teenagers. His case has drawn national attention as part of a broader investigation into corruption within the KCKPD and its devastating impact on the local community.
“There is a need for powerful and comprehensive storytelling in the criminal justice sector so that the voices of those who have been silenced are heard,” Team ROC Managing Director Dania Diaz shared in a statement.
“Our hope is for Corruption Uncovered to not only achieve that purpose but also to serve as an investigative platform that will expose misconduct, demand accountability, and drive change from the people and systems that are duty-bound to protect its citizens and community.”

The podcast will also feature interviews with survivors, affected families, attorneys, activists, and community members.
Team ROC shared a trailer for the podcast on Monday, including chilling snippets of testimonies from Golubski’s alleged victims.
“I said, ‘I’m gonna call the police,’” one survivor recounted. “He said, ‘I am the police.’”
The trailer’s caption also posed a critical question: “What does justice look like after decades of corruption in law enforcement?”
“Will the U.S. v. Roger Golubski have the answers? Tune in to Corruption Uncovered, our new true crime podcast exposing corruption within the Kansas City, Kansas police department.”
