Jayson Tatum and Ella Mai have welcomed their first child together, making a public appearance with their newborn at the 2024 Paris Olympics according to VIBE.
On Saturday night (Aug. 10), videos surfaced online showing the couple celebrating Tatum’s gold medal win. The Grammy-winning singer was spotted in a USA Basketball jacket, cradling their new baby.
At the end of the video, Tatum, Mai, Jayson’s son Deuce, and other family members gather for a group photo. Despite the viral footage, neither Tatum nor Mai has shared the news on their social media accounts.
Speculation about Ella Mai’s pregnancy began circulating in June after Tatum led the Boston Celtics to an NBA championship, securing his first Larry O’Brien trophy.
Images and videos from the celebration captured the “Boo’d Up” singer wearing Tatum’s jersey, her noticeably rounded belly hinting at the upcoming arrival.

Jayson Tatum and Ella Mai’s romance first came to light during their debut appearance at Michael Rubin’s exclusive all-white party in July 2020. Fast forward to 2023, the couple was seen sporting coordinated green outfits at the wedding of Marcus Smart, Tatum’s former teammate.
As Team USA’s men’s basketball team celebrated another gold medal victory, footage of Tatum and Mai with their newborn made its way online.
The gold medal game, held on Saturday, saw the USA go head-to-head with France in a thrilling matchup. The French team made several aggressive plays, using their length and top-tier perimeter skills to challenge the Americans.
However, when the pressure was on, Steph Curry delivered a series of incredible three-pointers, propelling the USA to a 98-78 victory over France. This win marks the USA men’s basketball team’s 17th gold medal in the 20 Olympic Games they have competed in.
