Jonathan Majors’ ex-girlfriend has dropped her assault and defamation lawsuit against the Marvel actor.
Majors was convicted of assault and harassment in December 2023. While he avoided serving jail time, the “Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania” actor was ordered to enroll in a 52-week in-person batterers intervention program in Los Angeles, continue receiving mental health counseling, and maintain a distance from Jabbari.
In March this year, Jabbari filed a federal lawsuit against Majors, citing defamation, malicious prosecution, assault, and battery.
In the suit, Jabbari claimed that the 35-year-old actor physically harmed her on multiple occasions throughout their nearly two-year-long relationship starting in July 2022. She also accused him of further damaging her reputation since his conviction in December.
Jabbari claimed the Creed III star “participated in an exclusive interview with ABC News wherein he doubled down on his public attack of Grace, claiming that she is lying about the entire pattern of abuse she has described, as he has ‘never laid [his] hands on a woman.”
On Thursday (November 21), Jabbari filed a stipulation of dismissal with prejudice. Majors and Jabbari agreed, via their attorneys, that “all claims against Defendant in the above-captioned action are hereby dismissed with prejudice,” People reports.
Majors was arrested in March 2023 after he found the 31-year-old British dancer in his Chelsea apartment following an altercation in the back of a vehicle and called 911. The actor told authorities he suspected his then-girlfriend had attempted suicide or overdosed.
Meanwhile, Jonathan Majors is celebrating his recent engagement with Meagan Good. The couple announced the exciting news during an appearance at the EBONY Power 100 Gala in Los Angeles on Sunday (November 17).
