Two-time Olympian Jordan Chiles just added a major achievement to her résumé.
The 23-year-old Olympic gold medalist is now a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model; the publication announced Monday (November 11).
Chiles, who first made her mark at the Tokyo Olympics and shone again in Paris 2024, joins the ranks of previous SI-featured athletes like Angel Reese, Paige Vanzant, and Serena Williams.
She’s part of SI’s 2025 all-star lineup, which also features standouts like Olympic gymnast Suni Lee, track star Gabby Thomas, three-time medalist Eileen Gu, and Paralympian Ali Truwit.
“We are thrilled to launch our shoot season for the 2025 issue with an extraordinary lineup of powerful female athletes,” Si Swimsuit editor-in-chief MJ Day shared in a statement.
“This remarkable group, featuring Olympic medalists, world champions, and record holders, embodies the next generation of all-stars poised to transform the world of sports.”
She continued: “They defy stereotypes and champion equality, inspiring young girls to envision themselves as both athletes and leaders. At SI Swimsuit, we’ve always celebrated the future of women, and there’s no better way to honor these remarkable achievements than by featuring them on the pages of our issue.”
As mentioned, Chiles made her Olympic debut at the Tokyo Games in 2020. Then, this past summer, the Oregon native joined the U.S. women’s gymnastics team at the Paris Games 2024 alongside Suni Lee, helping the team earn a gold medal.
She’s also an all-around Winter Cup and Pan American Games champion, with two individual NCAA titles from her time at UCLA.
During the Paris Games, Chiles made headlines when she was stripped of her bronze medal for the floor routine after the Romanian gymnastics team challenged her final score.
Ahead of her Sports Illustrated feature, Chiles appeared on the Today Show for the first time since the bronze medal controversy and opened up about struggling with the Court of Arbitration for Sport’s decision.
“It’s honestly been a very, very difficult time,” Chiles told host Hoda Kotb, acknowledging how appreciative she is of the support from loved ones, peers, and fans.
“It’s hard to tell yourself everything is going to be fine when we literally didn’t do anything wrong. Everything was in the time that it needed to be.”
Chiles continued, “For them to come back and say it was four seconds too late when we have proof… I can only control what my truth is, and I know that we were right.”
But, she added, “I’ll be able to overcome this. And I’ll be able to look back and say, you know what, ‘That was just a portion of my story, but it’s the truth.’ And that’s why I’m here today — to tell my truth.”
