Over the weekend, Justin Bieber posted screenshots of a text exchange with someone in his inner circle that quickly blew up online.
In the messages, JB explains he won’t hide his emotions anymore. “I will never suppress my emotions for someone. Conflict is part of relationship. If you don’t like my anger, you don’t like me.” He goes on to say his anger stems from trauma and that asking him to silence it is “simply mean.”
His friend responds, “I’m not used to someone lashing out at me.” That was enough for Justin to end the friendship:
“This friendship is officially over. … I wasn’t kidding when I told u I didn’t need u as a friend.” He even blocked the person—swift, unfiltered boundary-setting.
Then he dropped a follow-up post: “Quit asking me if I’m okay…Your concern doesn’t come off as care. It’s just oppressive weirdo.”
He didn’t stop there. In a longer, emotionally charged IG confession, he admitted he’s “broken” and has “anger issues.”
He shared that healing often exhausts him, admitting “the harder I try to grow, the more focused on myself I am.” He leaned on his faith—and fatherhood. “Jesus is the only one keeping me wanting to make my life about others.”
The internet’s reaction? As always, mixed. Some fans praised his bold boundary-setting and emotional honesty; others called the move toxic and emotionally manipulative.
Meanwhile, speculation is swirling—especially since this came on his first Father’s Day as a dad to baby Jack.
