During the BET Awards, Keith Lee had a mix-up with 53-year-old Taraji P. Henson when she mistook him for Jordan Howlett, another TikToker.
According to the Daily Mail, Taraji performed a comedy skit during the awards in which she “gave people their flowers.”
The actress saw Jordan and considered him a ‘Method Man look-a-like’.
Taraji said:
“Meth is married. Are you?”
Taraji then borrowed Keith’s catchphrase when addressing Jordan with:
“Mr. Keith Lee, I know what you’re thinking right now, this is about a 10.9 outta 10?”
But Jordan promptly pointed towards Keith, sitting beside him with his wife, Ronni.
Taraji then acknowledged her mistake.
“I got caught up in my own inner monologue, I’m so sorry.”
Taraji still considered Keith cute and gave him a rose.
Keith Lee Responded To Taraji P. Henson’s Mix-Up
Keith responded to the entire thing on video:
He shared a now-deleted TikTok post where he dropped the rose dramatically.
Then he wrote:
“Our name will be known in every room it’s supposed to be, when it’s supposed to be, how it supposed, with no confusion. God is Amazing.”
