Just ahead of their Grand National Tour, Kendrick Lamar and SZA have released a romantic video for their No. 1 hit collaboration, “Luther.”
The song, which spent seven consecutive weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100, appears on Kendrick’s latest GNX album and samples Luther Vandross’ 1982 rendition of “If This World Were Mine” with Cheryl Lynn.
Karena Evans — who previously directed Drake’s “In My Feelings” video — is at the helm of the moody visual, released through Lamar and Dave Free’s pgLang company.
Kendrick and SZA last performed “Luther” during the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, which, according to Pitchfork, received 125 FCC complaints.
Later this month, the duo will kick off their Grand National Tour, starting in Minneapolis next weekend and hitting cities like Atlanta, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, and more.
