KFC’s latest release might not be gracing the menu anytime soon, but we can assure you it’s not a prank.
In a partnership that not even the CIA knew was coming, Kentucky Fried Chicken has teamed up with Australian oral care company Hismile to bring you fried chicken-flavored toothpaste that’s unlike anything you’ve ever imagined.
“This started as an April Fool’s joke, but we thought — why not make it real?” Koban Jones, Hismile’s marketing manager, said in a statement to the press.
“We love pushing boundaries, and what better way to do that than by bringing KFC’s legendary flavors into an everyday essential? This collab is bold, unexpected, and seriously fun.”
The toothpaste features all 11 of KFC’s signature herbs and spices, with early testers calling it “a full-on flavor takeover” of their oral care routine.
“Like biting into a hot, juicy piece of KFC Original Recipe Chicken, this toothpaste is irresistible, coating your teeth in flavor while leaving your mouth feeling fresh and clean,” the press release stated.
There’s no word, however, on how many dentists out of 10 would recommend it.
But if you’re craving a savory oral care option (or anything related to KFC) you’ll be pleased to know that the fluoride-free toothpaste is available (for a limited time only) at hismileteeth.com for $13 per tube.
It even comes with a matching electric toothbrush for $59.
Since 2020, numerous food and beverage brands have made their respective forays into the beauty and wellness industry.
Just last year, Crumbl Cookie partnered with Dove for a sugary-sweet line of pastry-scented body wash that went viral on social media.
Auntie Anne’s also offered its signature wafts of warm pretzels on a limited-edition scent, while Miller High Life launched its fragrant take on a dive bar ambience.
