The chat is leaving the group, y’all.
After a successful stint on season 12 of FX’s American Horror Story: Delicate, Kim Kardashian and her award-winning actress bestie Lala Anthony are looking to bring their Group Chat (a production company headed by Kim Kardashian) to Hulu – with some help from renowned screenwriter and producer Kenya Barris.
According to Deadline, the new dramedy dubbed All Fair will be co-produced by 20th Century and BET Studios and based on Lala Anthony’s 2014 book The Love Playbook: Rules for Love, Sex, and Happiness.
Kardashian, Anthony, and Barris will also serve as executive producers. Anthony, a former MTV VJ and host, has starred in various projects over the past 25 years, most recently the 2021 crime drama BMF and the romantic comedy The Perfect Find.
“I’m incredibly interested in telling stories that are personal, complicated, relevant, from my own experiences and those familiar to me,” Kardashian told the news outlet.
“I had a front-row seat to working with the exceptional team at 20th Television during American Horror Story: Delicate, and I’m so excited to dive into developing my first wave of television projects with the team led by Karey Burke and Eric Schrier and to continue working alongside Craig Erwich and his entire group at Hulu and Disney.”
In addition to her new series All Fair, Kardashian is also set to executive produce Netflix’s upcoming show Calabasas, which stars Emma Roberts and co-produce and star in the dramedy The Fifth Wheel.
On the latest season of Hulu’s The Kardashians, Kim K opened up about her transition into acting, a journey that began 15 years ago with her theatrical debut in Disaster Movie.
“I wasn’t planning on this career and was like, I’m not gonna get ahead of myself here,” the TV personality said.
“I’m really nervous about it ’cause I have to fucking deliver. It’s such a challenge for me and I want to welcome a challenge, and I’m like, every year I want to do something that makes me so uncomfortable that I really have to challenge myself.”
