Larsa Pippen knows the exact moment she knew she had feelings for her ‘best friend’ – turned beau – Marcus Jordan.
In an interview with People, the Real Housewives of Miami star revealed their friendship turned romantic after she got jealous during a night out with the son of NBA legend Michael Jordan.
“I think it was one night we went out, and there was a girl that was there. She was trying to talk to him, and I was getting jealous over it,” Pippen said. “And it was weird because I’m not really the jealous person, but I was jealous over the situation.”
The TV personality said that night prompted her to lean into her feelings for the 32-year-old, who she started dating last year.
“And so then, I was thinking maybe I do really like him,” Pippen added. “That kind of sealed the deal.”
Pippen also said that they “had a great foundation as friends” after meeting through mutual friends four years ago at a party in Los Angeles. The two were rumored to be dating in September 2022 but went Instagram official on Valentine’s Day.
“I do feel like timing is everything, and it started off just getting to know each other, and then, here we are,” she shared.

Pippen – who finalized her divorce from ex-husband Scottie Pippen (arguably the most popular teammate of her beau’s dad) in January 2022 – also spoke about how she felt unfulfilled in her previous relationships.
“For me, I just could never be open and open to different guys,” she said. “I would find faults in every guy… I had all these quirky things, and then low and behold, Marcus drops down from heaven. And I’m like, I like everything about him.”
And while Pippen admits that relationships can be “really hard,” she says she wants nothing but to please Marcus.
“I feel like I always joke around, and I say, ‘Oh my God, if Marcus told me to color my hair green, I’m going to do it. Just because I feel like I have to make him happy because he makes me so happy.”
She also revealed that she trusts Marcus in a way she’s never done before. “The thing with me is this. I like to be led {in relationships} but haven’t trusted anyone to lead me until now.”

In a different interview with Tamron Hall, Pippen also revealed that the pair has reached the “meet the parents” level in their relationship and that Michael Jordan, the G.OA.T of the NBA himself is totally cool with it. According to her, Michael isn’t intervening and trying to sink their ship.
Yeah, I feel like we’re great, yeah,” Pippen told Hall. “I feel like we’ve spent holidays together and it’s good. We’re in a great place.”
As for whether fans should expect to see her boo featured in The Real Housewives of Miami, Pippen said, “a little bit.”
“I don’t want to put too much pressure on him. I feel like he signed up for me,” she said. “I don’t think he signed up for the show, but I do feel like we’re together now, and if there’s events and there’s stuff, he would normally go with me, so he’d come there too.”
