Lauren London made an appearance on the “A Really Good Cry” podcast with Radhi Devlukia where she had a honest conversation about moving through grief and self acceptance.
Lauren not only shared her touching story of love and loss, offering heartfelt insights into finding strength and purpose through spiritual connection but she also shared how she met the love of her life, Nipsey Hussle.
She said:
“I do remember how we met,” the actress began while adding that she was working on a set and wanted to gift her co-workers Crenshaw merchandise. “I was like, ‘It would be really cool if I, like, got them his mixtape and all the Crenshaw stuff.’” She added, “I didn’t get the discount, either.”
After making the purchase she followed Nip on Instagram, and then he DM’ed her.
“He DM’d me, like, ‘Hey, thank you. Thanks for the support, appreciate you, send me your sizes so I can send you a personal box,’” she went on before sharing that he gave her his number, too. “I text him, because I was like, I don’t do DMs… Yeah, I thought he was fine.”
During the podcast the ladies also dived into practical strategies for managing grief, like the healing power of prayer and journaling.
