Lil Wayne has seemingly responded to Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Halftime Show remarks on his newly released album “GNX.”
On Friday (November 22), Lamar surprise-released his sixth album, “GNX,” his first full-length release since “Mr. Moral & The Big Steppers” in 2022.
The album features production from Jack Antonoff, Kamasi Washington, Mustard, Sounwave, and Terrace Martin. It also includes uncredited guest vocals from SZA.
In the lyrics of his opening track, “Wacced Out Murals,” Lamar, 37, addressed Wayne’s disappointment over not being chosen to headline the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show at the Caesar’s Superdome in the “Annihilate” rapper’s New Orleans hometown.
“Used to bump Tha Carter III, I held my Rollie chain proud / Irony, I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down / Whatever though, call me crazy, everybody questionable / Turn me to an esk—, I drew the line and decimals,” Lamar rapped in the second verse.
He further added, “Won the Super Bowl and Nas the only one congratulate me / All these n***** agitated, I’m just glad they showin’ they faces.”

Lil Wayne wasted no time firing back. The Young Money Entertainment CEO took to X (formerly Twitter) with a stern warning for the “Not Like Us” creator.
“Man wtf I do?” he wrote. “! I just be chillin & dey still kome 4 my head. Let’s not take kindness for weakness. Let this giant sleep. I beg u all. No one really wants destruction, not even me but I shall destroy if disturbed. On me. Love.”

Shortly after Lamar was announced as the headliner of Super Bowl LIX on September 7, Lil Wayne took to Instagram to express his feelings.
“First of all, I wanna say forgive me for the delay,” he began. “I had to get strength enough to do this without breaking.”
He went on to express his gratitude to everyone who spoke up for him and reached out to him, adding:
“Your words turn into arms that held me up when I tried to fall back.”
Wayne had clearly been gearing up for a monumental stage – one his fans speculated was a potential Super Bowl performance or a high-profile appearance during the big game.
But when the chance slipped away, it left the rapper heartbroken.
“That hurt. It hurt a whole lot,” the “Let It All Work Out” rapper admitted. “I blame myself for not being mentally prepared for a letdown and for just automatically mentally putting myself in that position, like somebody told me that was my position.”
“But I thought that was nothing better than that spot and that stage and that platform in my city, so it hurt. It hurt a whole lot.”
Despite the setback, Wayne shared that the support he received from his fans has been a silver lining, reminding him of his place in the culture.
“But y’all. Y’all are f**king amazing,” he added, “It made me feel like s**t not getting this opportunity. But when I felt like s**t you guys reminded me that I ain’t s**t without y’all. And that’s an amazing reality.”
“Like I said, it broke me, and I’m just trying to put me back together, but my God, have you all helped me,” Wayne told fans. “Thanks to all of my peers, my friends, my family, my homies on the sports television and everybody repping me. I really appreciate that, I really do. I feel like I let all of y’all down by not getting that opportunity, but I’m working on me, and I’m working, so thank you.”

“Wacced Out Murals” also references Snoop Dogg, with Kendrick Lamar rapping:
“Snoop posted ‘Taylor Made,’ I prayed it was the edibles/I couldn’t believe it, it was only right for me to let it go.”
The lyrics reference Drake’s ‘Taylor Made Freestyle,’ a track that became part of the intense back-and-forth diss track feud between the two rappers earlier this year.
The song, which included an AI-generated version of Snoop’s voice, was ultimately removed from Drake’s social media and streaming platforms after Tupac’s estate threatened legal action.
Reacting to Lamar’s mention, Snoop took to X, writing:
“K dot new album GNX,” accompanied by several fire emojis. He added, “It was the edibles west west king.”
K dot new album GNX ???????????????????????????????????????? It was the edibles ???????? ???????????? west west king ????????????
