Lil Wayne might have missed his shot at the 2025 Superbowl halftime show, but he’s about to own Sundays in a whole new way.
Starting this Sunday (November 17), the Grammy-winning artist and sports fanatic will join the NFL GameDay Morning talk show as a weekly guest.
The league broke the news Sunday during the New York Giants/Carolina Panthers game in Munich, Germany, with a video of Lil Wayne hyping up fans as he charged onto the field with his beloved team the Green Bay Packers.
Wayne joins the already packed GameDay crew which boasts Rich Elsen, Kurt Warner, Steve Mariucci, Ian Rapoport, Gerald McCoy, Cynthia Frelund, Colleen Wolfe, Mike Garafolo, Tom Pelissero, and a roster of lauded NFL Network reporters.

Wayne is no rookie when it comes to sports talk. He recently appeared as a regular guest on Undisputed with Skip Bayless on FS1.
And it’s not just that. The “A Milli” rapper used to drop exclusive bog posts for ESPN The Magazine and even guest-starred on Around The Horn in 2009.
He also found a way to mash his two loves together in 2011 with his track “Green & Yellow,” which is an homage to the Green Bay Packers.
In 2016, Wayne also created “No Mercy,” the theme song to Shannon Sharpe’s and Skip Bayless’ Undisputed.
News of Wayne’s new gig arrives just two months after the legendary rapper admitted to feeling “hurt” over missing out on the chance to headline the halftime show at Super Bowl LIX, right in his hometown of New Orleans.
“That hurt. It hurt a whole lot,” he said in an Instagram video. “I blame myself for not being mentally prepared for a letdown and for just automatically mentally putting myself in that position; like somebody told me that was my position.”
“But I thought that was nothing better than that spot and that stage and that platform in my city, so it hurt. It hurt a whole lot.”
“But y’all. Y’all are f**king amazing,” he added, “It made me feel like s**t not getting this opportunity. But when I felt like s**t you guys reminded me that I ain’t s**t without y’all. And that’s an amazing reality.”
