Back in the day when natural hair was starting to really come on board as a thing there was a huge buzz around Behentrimonium Methosulfate which is a detangling ingredient often found in conditioners.
Behetrimorium methosulfate is is also known as BTMS, (Behenyl Trimethyl Ammonium Methosulfate and Docosyltrimethylammonium Methyl Sulphate) is developed synthetically from rapeseed oil and is known to provide superior conditioning.
BTMS is also known to be one of the best detangling ingredients ever because it smooths the cuticles, reduces friction and is small enough to penetrate the hair strand.
The point I am trying to make is, if you are new to the product game and have no idea what to purchase especially if you are not buying something all natural or something that you are used to then look for this ingredient on the ingredient list. It should be listed among the top six on the back of the bottle!
