Louis Vuitton, the French fashion brand synonymous with luxury and craftsmanship, has announced it will be stepping into the beauty arena with a new cosmetics collection, La Beauté Louis Vuitton.
The makeup line, which is set to launch in fall 2025, will be headed by the makeup industry powerhouse Dame Pat McGrath, who has been appointed as the Creative Director of Cosmetics.
While details remain under wraps, WWD reports that the initial launch will feature 55 lipsticks, 10 tinted lip balms, and 8 eyeshadow palettes.
“Working backstage for over 20 years at Louis Vuitton fashion shows, I am thrilled to now play such a key role in the launch of La Beauté Louis Vuitton, which is the result of extraordinary craftsmanship, creativity and innovation,” McGrath said in the official press release.
“The beauty universe is about so much more than just product, and what we are creating here will unlock a new level in luxury beauty.”

Recognized as the most influential makeup artist in the world, McGrath has spent the past four years developing Louis Vuitton’s debut beauty collection while simultaneously leading her own brand, Pat McGrath Labs.
Since launching in 2015, Pat McGrath Labs has gained widespread acclaim for its editorial-inspired products, including its latest release, the Glass 001 Artistry Mask, a product born from the show-stopping makeup look she created for Maison Margiela’s spring 2024 couture show.
“La Beauté Louis Vuitton is a natural business evolution, driven by our meticulous attention to quality, formula and innovation,” Pietro Beccari, Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, said of the new beauty line.
“Through this new universe, we have the opportunity to further accompany clients in their everyday lives with purpose and pleasure while continuing to celebrate our creativity and heritage.”
According to Essence, this isn’t the first time the luxury fashion house has shown interest in makeup.
McGrath was granted full access to Louis Vuitton’s archives, which include vanity cases designed to transport delicate perfumes and cosmetics dating back to 1854, as well as a collection of powder compacts, brushes, and mirrors from the 1920s.
