Love Is Blind US star Amber Desiree “AD” Smith and UK’s Ollie Sutherland might not have found love in the pods, but fate had other plans.
During the Love Is Blind Season 8 reunion on Sunday (March 9), the couple—who appeared on Season 6 of Love Is Blind and Season 1 of Love Is Blind: UK, respectively—revealed their engagement.
According to People, AD and Ollie first met while filming Season 3 of Perfect Match, which is set to premiere this summer. After filming wrapped, the pair sparked romance rumors after they were spotted enjoying a romantic dinner in Mexico.
Then, in November 2024, they were seen holding hands near the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, fueling speculation that AD had been spending time in England, where Ollie lives.
Still, the Love Is Blind alums kept their relationship under wraps—that is, until the March 9 reunion, where they finally made it official.

During the reunion, the pair spoke about their lives lately, which included AD’s new podcast, What’s the Reality? and their appearance on season 3 of Perfect Match.
They then introduced a promo video for the upcoming season of the Netflix hit. However, the video didn’t end there as it went on to show a separate clip of Ollie,32, leading AD, 34, to another section of the beach and surprising her with a romantic proposal.
“You’re my best friend, you’re the love of my life. I’ve never felt as happy as I have since I’ve met you,” Ollie said as he got down on one knee. “Nothing would make me happier than spending the rest of my life loving you.”
The software sales executive then popped the question as AD squealed and said “yes” before sharing a kiss with her new fiancé.
Back at the reunion, AD admitted she was “so surprised” by the proposal, which Ollie revealed he had been planning “for months.”
The couple also credited Love Is Blind for laying the foundation for their relationship.
Ollie shared that the experience helped them realize they had “shared values and similar outlooks on life,” while AD emphasized how their time on the show encouraged “super intentional conversations” while dating.

Viewers saw AD venture into the Netflix pods during the premiere of Love Is Blind season 6. She got engaged to Clay Gravesande, but their love story took a heartbreaking turn when he said no at the altar on their wedding day.
The moment left everyone stunned, including the real estate broker herself, who explained at the season 6 reunion in March 2024 that she wouldn’t have changed a thing despite the pain.
“I don’t regret saying yes to him,” she said. “My love is blind. There’s nothing that he could’ve shown me, told me, that would’ve changed my answer.”
When asked if she’d give Clay a second chance, AD quickly shut it down.
“You had your chance, there’s nothing that I wouldn’t have given you, there’s nothing I wouldn’t have done for you,” she told Clay. “And low key, respectfully, you played in my f—— face… because you knew that you didn’t want to get married.”

Meanwhile, Ollie rose to fame on the U.K. version of the reality dating series, where he connected with Demi Brown. The pair got engaged but ultimately chose not to walk down the aisle.
Despite the heartbreak, both expressed gratitude for their journey, with Ollie even hinting at a possible future together, saying, “This is not the end of Demi and Ollie, not by a long shot.”
However, during the reunion, the pair confirmed they had broken up for good.
The 32-year-old later moved on with fellow Love Is Blind: UK star Sharlotte Ritchie, but their relationship also came to an end shortly after.
