Boxing legend Mike Tyson is opening up about the reason he slapped Jake Paul at the weigh-in ahead of their fight on Friday night.
Seemingly out of nowhere, the decorated fighter smacked Paul in the face at the Las Colinas, Texas event ahead of their highly-anticipated match at AT&T Stadium.
“I was in my socks and he had on shoes,” Tyson said, explaining the situation. “He stepped on my toe because he is a f–king a–hole.”
Initially, the 58-year-old tried to brush it off as an accident, but after reflecting, he began to suspect it was intentional.
“I was in a lot of pain. I had to reciprocate,” Tyson admitted.
Seems like the reason Mike Tyson slapped Jake Paul is because he stepped on his foot

And when asked what he would say to Paul now, Tyson kept it short and blunt: “Talking’s over.”
A representative of the legendary boxed also weighed in, stating, “Jake has been poking the bear the whole time. Mike slapped the s–t out of him.”
And Tyson plans on bringing the same energy to the ring. When asked if he will knock out the YouTube star-boxer, the film producer wasted no time with his response: “Yes!”
As for his opinion of Paul, the “Medellin” star said, “He’s more of a clown than an entertainer. He’s a clown. He needs to stop playing.”
