Nicki Minaj is being sued by a super fan who claims the rap superstar publicly humiliated him and labeled him as a “mentally unstable stalker.”
According to TMZ, Minaj was hit with a $5 million lawsuit by Tameer Peak, a 15-year super fan, for allegedly causing him reputational harm, financial loss, and emotional distress.
In the lawsuit, Peak described himself as one of Minaj’s most ardent supporters for the last 15 years and claimed he helped her career soar by actively promoting her 2023 album “Pink Friday 2.”
But he said things took a dark turn in 2017 when, according to the suit, Minaj went through her “hate train” phase, where she allegedly started accusing her fans – like Peak – of being paid moles sent to sabotage her.
He alleged that Minaj publicly ridiculed him, inviting him to her hotel on one occasion in an attempt to embarrass him in front of 100,000 viewers on IG Live.
Peak also claimed that during Super Bowl weekend in 2020, the “Barbie World” singer’s husband, Kenneth Petty, battered him, with Minaj later acknowledging the incident in a DM.
Then, in 2024, Peak alleged that he got messages from other super fans that Minaj wanted him to “stop saying dumb s**t,” which he believes damaged his reputation with her fans.
He also accused the award-winning rap superstar of targeting him on X during several Stationhead sessions, where she allegedly wrote, “It’s clear they’re not necessarily, you know, a full basket umm at the picnic.” Peak took that to mean he was mentally unstable.
In another, he says Minaj accused him of being “one sandwich short of a picnic” and suggested that he was on welfare.
Peak further claimed that Minaj labeled him a “stalker” who went so far as to impersonate members of her team, accusations he claimed have severely tarnished his reputation, which is why he’s seeking $5 million in damages.
Minaj’s attorney, Judd Burstein, strongly denies these allegations.
In a statement to TMZ, Burstein said, “Mr. Peak has been harassing Nicki on social media for years on end to no avail.”
“He has now graduated to seeking to shake her down financially with manifestly false allegations and legally frivolous claims. He will regret having gone down this disreputable road when he is forced to pay her legal fees as required by California law.”
Other observers seem to mirror Minaj’s alleged sentiments.
After learning about the lawsuit, one user wrote, “I find it very odd that Roc Nation follows him! Also, this man has been stalking NICKI for a while, he came to her house and lied to the security telling them he works for NICKI team.”
“He’s the same one that said NICKI should make a only fans for he son, he’s made several tweets asking NICKI if he could hold her son, he wanted a job as a nanny to her son and started calling her son his nephew! And this is his just some of the crazy wild thing this man has done, he’s scary obsessed with NICKI,” she continued.
