By Now you probably have seen a viral video of a United Airlines worker trading blows with a passenger at Newark Airport in a shocking brawl that left the airline worker covered in blood.
According to The Daily Mail the video emerged on social media on Sunday morning after horrified onlookers watched as the pair sparred in front of the bag drop desk.
The fight began when the passenger used a wheelchair to transport his luggage – seemingly in a bid to avoid paying the fee on luggage carts inside the New Jersey airport.
When the United worker challenged him over it, the pair started fighting.
Watch below:
United would not state whether the airline worker has been disciplined for his role in the fight.
In a statement, a spokesman said only: ‘United Airlines does not tolerate violence of any kind at our airports or on board our planes and we are working with local authorities to further investigate this matter.’
The video has been viewed more than 11million times since being uploaded to Twitter yesterday morning.
Now, the internet is divided on which of the pair was to blame – and who threw the first punch.
The viral edit of the video shows the United worker punching first. A second, slightly longer video however has the passenger slapping the airline worker first.
An even longer video shows the pair sparring, but there is no footage of the start of the altercation.
According to TMZ, Law Enforcement has since arrested the passenger, not the employee … despite the passenger’s claim, he didn’t throw the first punch.
Twitter is split on who to blame:
That video was clear as day. The black customer was hit in the face first. The white guy who initiated the assault, brandished his hands indicating that he wanted to fight the black man, and the black man simply defended himself.
This is a slam dunk law suit win for the blk man

Dude isn’t a victim. He was confronted about the improper use of a wheelchair. They got into it. Dude clearly wanted to fight the employee ♂️ ♂️ if the employee was black y’all wouldn’t be saying shit. If the the flyer wasn’t black y’all wouldn’t be saying shit ♂️

Trying to get pages done today and made the mistake of checking Twitter. Immediately saw video of a United airline employee starting a fight, only to get punched so hard in return that he ended on the checked bag conveyor belt.

Dear @United. Two suggestions. Either:
A) Tell your employees not to hit passengers in the face.
OR
B) If they are going to hit passengers in the face, at least hire employees who can fight. May I recommend recruiting from Waffle House? Proven fighters with winning records.
