Dee, an NYC stylist who goes by the brand name @thevintagepoint on Instagram, recently went viral for her content series “The Granny Series,” which featured her grandmother, Margret Chola (@legendary_glamma), rocking vintage looks.

It all began last year when Dee had the brilliant idea to style her grandmother for a fun photoshoot, Because Of Them We Can reported. Surprisingly, Grandma Chola, whose exact age remains a mystery, agreed and became the internet sensation she is today.
“Today, last year (March 13, 2023), I convinced my almost 90 or maybe more years old Granny, cuz we don’t know how old she is, my mom’s mother to switch clothes with me and have a shoot to my surprise, she was up for this idea,” Dee wrote in the now-viral post.
“This, by far, has been the highlight of my career. I will forever cherish these special moments.”

Dee’s playful styling wasn’t just a hit at home – the internet went wild for Grandma Chola’s transformation! “The Granny Series” took off, with thousands of viewers fawning over her show-stopping vintage looks.
Seizing the unexpected momentum, Dee launched a dedicated page, “@legendary_glamma,” posting the vintage baddie almost weekly in ornate garments, vibrant prints, statement jewelry, and fashion-forward accessories. This all took place in Grandma Chola’s home in Zambia.
Dee has been in Zambia transforming Grandma Chola’s old home into a stylish personal villa, blending vintage charm with modern flair.
She regularly posts updates, teasing when the next photo will drop, and delights in fulfilling her grandmother’s every fashion wish. The excitement doesn’t stop there – Dee has even started selling ‘The Granny Series’ merchandise, allowing fans to share in the glamour and fun.

Dee will also host a New York fashion exhibition, the “Legendary Glamma Exhibition,” on Sunday, June 30, in the Bronx from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET.
The show-stopping event will showcase some of Grandma Chola’s most viral and iconic art pieces and other unreleased works. Attendees will have the chance to purchase autographed t-shirts, exclusive prints, and other @legendary_glamma merchandise.
