Paula Abdul is catching heat for her latest photo op.
According to Page Six, after posting several IG photos from Kathy Hilton’s annual Christmas party, the Straight Up singer’s followers seemed less interested in the out-of-this-world holiday bash and more concerned with her Photoshop fail.
In the festive snaps, Ms. Abdul was seen posing with the hostess alongside other celebrities, including Crystal Kung Minkoff, Heidi Klum, and Paris Hilton. But according to her fans, the Forever Your Girl had seemingly edited the pictures waayy too much, making her look decades younger than she actually is.

“This looks like a completely different person,” one IG user said of the 60-year-old singer, while another wondered, “Did the account get hacked? Who am I even looking at?”
“Wow. I don’t understand this. Everyone knows what you actually look like. The amount of editing here is embarrassingly obvious,” another wrote.
“holy s–t!! She looks like a little girl,” another avid fan wrote.
Another set of social media users went so far as to joke that the Paula Abdul in the photos was a double.
“Who is this?” one user asked.
“Someone stole Paula’s Insta.. that’s an entirely different face!” another follower echoed.
Other Instagram users even accused Ms. Abdul of setting a bad example to women everywhere by using Photoshop and other face editing apps, something celebrities are often criticized for by fans on social media.
“You’re making young girls and women feel that they need filters that they can’t be proud of themselves the way they are, and that’s very, very sad,” one follower wrote.
Others tried encouraging the famed choreographer to embrace her age while assuring her that she’s still drop-dead gorgeous without the filters.
“you should be proud to age gracefully,” a fan commented, adding, “Why do you need these extreme filters! You’re making young girls and women feel that they need filters that they can’t be proud of themselves the way they are, and that’s very, very sad!”
“Paula, you’re beautiful. There’s no need to edit your photos to the point that people don’t recognize you,” another comment read.
“Please calm down on the photoshopping. Your [sic] gorgeous without it. No need to set false expectations/reality,” another user agreed.

Despite the avalanche of critical fan comments, Ms. Abdul’s celebrity pals didn’t seem to care for the “extreme editing” and celebrated her beauty.
“You look so incredible ❤️ Merry Christmas ? ❤️❤️ we all love you,” actress Cara Cunningham wrote, while Bravo star Dorinda Medley added, “You look so beautiful Merry Christmas ❤️❤️.”
What do you think?
