Pretty Vee is addressing the backlash she received for saying, “I rebuke you in the name of Jesus,” while speaking to Soulja Boy about his video about B. Simone.
This all went down after The Shade Room shared a video of Soulja Boy calling out B. Simone because she commented on his music.
According to The Shade Room Simone had previously said that she doesn’t think people request Soulja’s music. However, she did also explain that he deserves respect.
Soulja caught wind of her comments and went off on her while streaming on Instagram Live.
The rapper referred to the comedian as ugly while sharing disparaging remarks about her.

Soulja’s words sparked a response from B. Simone, who ultimately wished the rapper well while doubling her respect for him.
However, his words also caused Pretty Vee to come to Simone’s defense.
She said:
“Don’t play with me @souljaboy You better play with them other ones like this but not @thebsimone Agains she said what she said, now WHAT,” she wrote via The Shade Room’s comment section, before later adding. “I rebuke you in the name of Jesus you living creature…”
As you can imagine using the words “I rebuke you in the name of Jesus” to address Soulja Boy caused people to draw a direct parallel to the tragic loss of Sonya Massey.
If you recall, Sonya said the same thing to her murderer before she was killed.
The comments called Vee out for her timing some calling her ‘disrespectful’.
“The ‘I rebuke you in the name of Jesus’ comment was kind of wild considering everything…”
“The rebuke comment lowkey might be bad timing ngl”
“@yesimprettyvee your ‘rebuke comment” was very disrespectful & bad timing ⏱️! Read & Smell the room!”
“That was a bad joke from prettt vee… super corny”
Pretty Vee went live on Instagram to address the criticism.
“I would never ever, like I said, disrespect anybody — especially Ms. Sonya [Massey],” Vee explained. “Again, if you disrespect somebody, calling them out their name — I don’t care that’s a demon… that needs help.”
Vee ultimately explained that those offended by her words are taking them “out of context.” Additionally, she reiterated that she would never disrespect Sonya Massey.
